Trace privacy policy

This policy explains what the Trace app does with your information. Trace is made by Fuqiang UG (haftungsbeschränkt), based in Berlin, Germany. If anything here is unclear, or you want to make a request about your data, write to nate@fuqiangug.com.
Trace is a scheduling and habit-tracking app for people who want to keep track of a peptide routine. It works like a calendar with reminders. It does not give medical advice, does not recommend any substance or dose, and is not a substitute for a doctor or pharmacist.
What stays on your device
The schedules, reminders, and notes you enter live on your device. We do not collect them, send them to our servers, or share them. If you delete the app, that content goes with it.
What we collect
We collect a small amount of usage and diagnostic data to find and fix bugs and to understand how the app is used. This runs through PostHog, an analytics provider. It covers things like which screens are opened, taps, and basic device and app-version information sent with error reports. It does not include the content of your schedule, and we do not use it to work out who you are.
Purchases
If you subscribe, purchases are handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, which manages subscriptions. RevenueCat receives a random anonymous identifier for your app install, not your name, email, or Apple ID. We use it only to know whether a subscription is active.
What we do not collect
- Health data
- Location
- Photos or camera access
- Contacts
- Any name, email, or account. Trace has no login.
Who else touches your data
Three services handle data in the ways described above, and no others:
- RevenueCat, for subscription management. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.
- PostHog, for analytics and bug tracking. See the PostHog privacy policy.
- Apple, as the App Store and payment processor. See the Apple privacy policy.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond these services.
Tracking
We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.
Keeping and protecting data
Analytics and subscription records are kept only as long as we need them to run and improve the app, and they are encrypted in transit. Because your schedule content never leaves your device, the most sensitive part of your data is never in our hands to begin with.
Children
Trace is not intended for children. Please do not use it if you are under 18.
Your choices
You can limit app tracking in your device settings, and you can stop all collection by deleting the app. To ask what we hold, or to request deletion of the analytics or subscription records tied to your install, write to nate@fuqiangug.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Trace handles data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will point it out in the app.
